‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ Site Re-Opened As Creepy BBQ Joint,Lodging Site

There’s a new restaurant in Central Texas, but you might not have the stomach to eat there. Just in time for Halloween, the original gas station from the horror film classic “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” is now a barbecue joint/lodging facility to check into if you got the guts.
The Gas Station attraction staged its grand opening last week, with the actors Ed Neil and Caroline Williams, who appeared in the film, on hand to usher in the new diner, as the San Antonio Express News reported. A smaller newspaper, the Bastrop Advertiser, first reported on the plans in April.
The site contains a diner and cabins that can be booked for overnight stays. The barbecue restaurant has a fitting name: We Slaughter Barbecue. There’s a makeshift bed-and-breakfast at the site for the truly brave.
The new spooky tourist attraction site is located about 40 miles east of Austin, off State Highway 304.
